Online Immigration Evaluations
Who qualifies for a Psychological Immigration Evaluation in CA, FL, and NY?
An Immigration Evaluation adds tremendous value to an immigration case. They are critical in detailing a client's mental health, trauma history, and compelling reasons for leaving their country of origin. Through my work with immigrants and their families, I conduct evaluations to assist with the immigration process. I've conducted evaluations for a wide range of immigration cases. Specifically, I provide assessments for the following immigration issues: Asylum, Extreme Hardship Waivers, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Victims of Crime (U-Visa).
My comprehensive assessments can be used beneficially by your attorney to support your case and move forward in your immigration proceedings. My goal is to provide you with a comforting space to be able to discuss emotionally difficult subjects, which will also help me accurately and thoroughly capture your unique circumstances as it relates to your immigration case.
My extensive immigration evaluations include:
In-depth interviews over several appointments
Personal, familial, and social histories
Educational and occupational histories
Medical and medication histories
Mental health, psychiatric, and/or trauma histories
Mental Status Exam (MSE)
Behavioral observations and interpretations
Current mental health challenges and/or symptoms
If applicable, an assignment of mental health diagnoses
Evidence-based psychological research
Standardized, objective, and valid psychological measures
Integration of applicable medical records from primary care physicians, mental health professionals, or other providers
Professional recommendations based on my assessment
Other specific factors related to immigration cases (e.g., survivor of violent crimes for U-Visa, gang violence, religious persecution for asylum cases, etc.)
Once all the necessary information is collected, I will write the report and send it to your attorney. I also offer options for rush reports, with appropriate rush fees.
